The food was average to say the least- we asked for a medium rare steak which was well done- the waiter didn’t even ask how we wanted it done and it was pretty clear he wasn’t going to relay our wishes to the chef. We were totally ripped off! Manager would clearly rather rip off the few customers that go in, rather than get good reviews! There was no one else in- we should’ve realised! Feel totally naive! Were charged £11.95 for a bottle of beer and £12.95 for a glass of wine!!!! I never review anything but have made a point of doing so- you have spoiled our weekend- shocking! Shameful! Do not make the same mistake!
Looked a great place in prime location and thats where any positivity ended , ordered beans on toast and a bacon and egg sandwich and two extra toast and coffees , worst sandwich ive ever eaten , egg was an omlette it was that over cooked , the toast came with no butter , when i requested butter i got stork margerine or someting similar , the latte had never seen coffee and all for the bargain price of £28 , i didnt bother buying the sweatshirt they were selling for £25.95 because i wouldnt want anyone to know i’d ever eaten there . Avoid at all costs
Abusive prices for pretty average food, they have a 12,5% service fee over the total amount that they don’t tell you about until you pay, they also tried to charge us an extra meal and an extra pint, outrageous.
Good service and nice food for the family. Quick and polite. Right near the British museum. Good for the first night in London when we were tired from flying
We were looking for afternoon tea and hadn't booked anything. They had walk-ins available. The place is very small and probably not knowns for their ambience the having said that the afternoon tea was great! they served us 3 finger sandwiches, a cupcake and a giant piece of chocolate cake and another Danish and a warm scone with butter and jelly. The waiter was very happy to switch the fish sandwich to a veg sandwich for me! Made me very happy!! If you're looking for a low key afternoon experience and don't have any reservations done ahead of time, definitely try this place. I couldn't comment on other meals since didn't try any of them:
