Swan - Camden

Only it came when it poured down and it was near the hotel. The pub is great, but the food was best on average. Very limited vegan options (burger or mushroom chili on main course). For burgers, as it was afterlife meat and usually ok. Came with terrible Coleslaw and slice of vegan cheese. I wish I had become wet now and went somewhere good to eat and then came back to drink!

While the menu says that this vegan option suet contains, I was assured there were no animal products and so ordered the Woodland Mushroom and Ale Pudding after reading about it here on HappyCow. It was overwhelming and disgusting funky and I love mushrooms! My partner also thought his food was bad. I paid €16 and a drink.

Great vegan selection, but it is on a separate menu at the bar that is not obvious if you only see the normal menu on the table (what has some vegan things just not so many). The vegan fish and the chips are no longer available, but the mushroom and the apple cake are delicious. The staff is very friendly but not 100% safe on vegan things. Lived pub atmosphere we enjoyed.

Excellent. a visit worth it. will definitely return.

It can be difficult to get a table here, but it is worth waiting because “The Swan” is served almost all pub classics at a slightly above average price. the personal is quite nice and efficient.
