Upstairs is the restaurant, and downstairs is like a club night... it's quite loud, and you have to walk through the club to get to the toilets, the place is just really confused with what it actually is!! Food was mediocre. The fishcakes (starter) was really weird, and really quite rubbery... bang bang chicken was nice, but a little bit dry came with burned bits of batter which was quite unpleasant. Could have been improved with some dipping sauce or something. The service was very good, very nice woman who runs the restaurant. Quite expensive for what you get too..
The food was delicious and well priced. I got nibbles for friends and some friends ordered meals. The cocktails were beautiful and the happy hour was a really good deal. I got to choose my own music and picked a playlist before hand. I want to make special mention of Carmen and Stephanie who served us! They were so friendly, understanding and without them the night would not be as good as it was. They helped my friends with any questions, were very attentive to me when I wanted to check something and they were just fun and friendly people. In fact, it was like they were part of the party! I felt a bit stressed at first about hosting an event with 40 people as I hadn't done it before but with their help everything went amazingly well! The gentleman at the bar was superb and made cocktails quickly, took all the orders with no problems or mix ups, he was chatty and social, and pleasant to deal with, and even helped when there was a small issue with the music. I embarrassingly cannot remember his name as I had consumed quite a bit of alcohol (maybe it was Adrian I think? . The environment and feel for the club is so impressive. Places to sit, stand, dance, an upstairs for eating a proper meal and a downstairs for socialising, drinking, and nibbling. As it was a Sunday it was possible to have the bar open for this occasion specifically meaning that I essentially had the whole bar and there was no booking fee or anything. If you want an awesome birthday, you want good prices, a nice venue, you want to invite lots of people and you want everyone to have a good time then I highly recommend Zensai Bar! Once again thanks to Adrian (I'll stick to this name! , Carmen and Stephanie (I have no preference in either of these amazing people just alphabetical order! Please message me if you have any specific questions I'd love to answer them.
The worst thai food I've ever eaten out. It wasn't disgusting but It isn't worth what we paid for it which was half price.. The service was good but unfortunately didn't compensate for the below mediocre food
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. Carmen, our waitress, was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. The cocktails and food were excellent. I will definitely be returning!
This restaurant is a great spot to kick off a Friday night or grab a bite to eat after work. The ambiance is cozy and reminiscent of an underground New York club. Carmen, the front of house, was exceptional - she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we always had drinks and a clean table. When we were unsure about which cocktails to order, she even brought us cocktail shots to help us decide. The music was a mix of '80s soul, '90s hip hop, RnB, and current hits. The dancefloor downstairs had livelier music, while the dining area had a more relaxed atmosphere for conversation. Overall, a fantastic place to dine.
