Eastlake Football Club - Canberra

What a great place to have a meal and a couple of drinks. There is plenty of parking and the menu in the bistro is surprisingly really good. The serves of food were very good and the prices were spot on. The service is great and food comes quickly. Well done!! Try this instead of waiting at the kingo.. its just around the corner!

Very easy to find and plenty of parking in vicinity. Much like any other licenced club in layout but very good food and drinks at reasonable prices. They have specials most nights and serves are a decent size.

Eastlake Football Club is a typical sports club offering most of the things you would expect to find in such a venue. The food is acceptable and reasonably priced

The Football Club was within walking distance from our accommodation and we visited more than once. Very clean, nice layout with friendly staff. The food was reasonable priced and of good sized portion. Would happily recommend the curry to others.

The Bistro at Eastlakes has been a favourite of ours for quite some time. It had a good range of meat, veggie, pasta, risottos and all good solid tasty pub food. Great value in an easy atmosphere on a Friday night with a GREAT meat tray raffle. Recently they have changed catering and we have been back three times now and tonight was our last unfortunately (we do like to give everyone new a chance to settle in). Tonight the meal for three at our table was interesting to say the least. Good pub food has been replaced by poor service, soggy pastry, too many cold veggies, and our meals not coming out at the same time so one member of our party had to wait 15 minutes after two of our meals arrived before his did. Meanwhile to the credit of the kitchen (because they are lovely people) came to apologise and give free hot chips while my guest waited. Unfortunately by the time the meal arrived, he was full from the chips and didn't eat much of his eye fillet which also missed the target of being medium rare. It's a real shame. The club was virtually empty which is quite unusual and sad. Out of the meals I have had in the last three visits the best was the butter chicken which was not an out of the jar taste. Until we hear otherwise, we won't be partaking of a meal at Eastlakes soon, and we do hope the new caterers get a better groove with their food.
