Taj Mahal Indian - Canberra

Cannot recommend this place enough! Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was fresh, fragrant, and very tasty. The atmosphere was really lovely as well. Super reasonably priced, and would definitely eat here all the time if we were locals…! Looking forward to coming back when we’re next in Canberra.

Walk up a flight of stairs and you arrive at a very good Indian restaurant in Canberra. Unpretentious. Freshly prepared food that may seem to take a little longer to arrive at your table after ordering but well worth the wait. Patience here is a virtue.

A fantastic restaurant with possibly the best style and aesthetic in Canberra of any restaurant. The food is super yummy and service is super friendly. Apparently it is a 2nd generation family owned business which you can feel in the atmosphere, it feels like you've been invited around to the family's home for dinner.

Must go! Amazingly fresh food. I could feel the motherly love in the food. Generous portion size and very knowledgeable waiter. This restaurant is in its 48th year of running and why not.. they serve delicious food. Make sure you have a booking as this place gets very busy on the weekends

We are from Dubbo and did take away food from Taj Indian Restaurant. Had a fantastic meal, the food was absolutely lovely. The restaurant had friendly staff, he welcomed us with big smiles. Would highly recommend, if you are visiting to Canberra and looking for Indian food, this is the place you must try. 5 out of 5 stars.
