Le Rendezvous - Canberra

Below average food and very expensive at Le Rendevous Canberra the owner was not helpful. The food was luke warm bland and very expensive for average food. Table was dirty to boot! Haven't been to this place for years now I remember why!

Noisy, food came late, wrong meals, cheap nasty olives. Dirty sticky tables. Avoid at all cost. Service slow and person running the place not helpful.

So disappointed! Have been going for years but never again. We were argued with and yelled at when my brother in law returned his overcooked medium rare steak by the manager and then as we left too. That is not how you treat customers. The food ranged from good to average compared to previous experience across our table, except the steak which was well below average. The table service was ok it was the manager when something went wrong that just had no idea. I understand the customer is not always right but in this case we were and we were treated was appalling!! Never again!!!

Nothing excites me more than to go to an Italian restaurant and order a good risotto topped with the best of cheese. Unfortunately yesterday, I ordered my risotto (which was a little average) and asked for cheese and to my disappointment she managed to sprinkle roughly a teaspoon of cheese. To my disgust, when I requested extra cheese I was told that it was the restaurant policy that no more cheese is to be given and the manager enforces the policy. Listen here, you aren't in the corporate world and dining at an Italian restaurant cheese is expected and lots of it. I also must say that coming from a family with businesses in their blood, have a good hard look at your customer service as politeness would go a long way! Definitely not going back or recommending the restaurant.

Great food - Italian meals but also other types of cuisine like Serbian or fusion. Food is excellent and very healthy. It is all home made. Excellent service and friendly staff. Great with families. Highly recommended.
