Set amongst a selection of food vans in this Street Feast place called the Hamlet at 16 Lonsdale St, corner of Elouera St, Braddon in Canberra. They have a gourmet selection of all pies to die for, $6 for a pie alone & around $11-$12 for a pie with a selection of trimmings from salad to floating pea & mash & gravy. You cannot visit Canberra without stopping by here, you would be denying yourself a true foodie experience. You can see how good the pastry is, the base is solid & gently crisp, omg I want one now! These pies are made off site & delivered fresh every day around 10:30-11 a.m. As for the service, to me it was so much more than service with a smile, I felt I made a friend. Young Zac that works there is the most genuinely sweet young guy that welcomes you with a huge happy smile. Thank you Zac for making my last morning in Canberra so happy. I had the best pie of my life & a happy chat with you. I just wish I could move you & that food truck up to Sydney, I'd be there at least once a day. Oh why are the best found things not in our own home towns?
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited! We were seated at the bar and watched the professionals at work. The food and service were both superb.
