La Belle Patate - Canmore

My Husband, myself and 2 dogs visited Canmore on a whim. Eventually time came to eat but we really wanted a place where dogs were welcome on the patio. LA Belle Patate came up as recommended so we went. It was great to see others relaxing outside at the picnic tables with their pooches. And the food was good! We came to find out it is ranked one of the best in Canmore. I huge selection of poutine and fresh burgers. Slightly pricey, however,it's Canmore. Would definitely go back!

My daughter told us about this place so we went for a drive from Calgary for the poutine.We ordered steamed hot dogs ("steamies") and of course we ordered the Traditional Poutine and it was excellent. This is definitely going to be a place to visit again. There is lots more to choose from like the Montreal Smoked meat sandwich which also looked great. Will probably try that next visit.

We ate here more that once during the week that we visited in Canmore. This was our first trip into Canada from the States, and our first time to try poutine. We loved the deluxe version with all of the extra stuff on top. We also tried the steamies - they were very good too. You can't go wrong here - it's all delicious!

I visited the restaurant hoping to try Quebec poutine, as my family had recommended it. The service was fast and friendly, but I found the poutine to be disappointing. The gravy was lukewarm and the cheese was tough and rubbery.

I'll start off by saying that the poutine was really good. Fries were done right and had a touch of sweetness from the type of potato they use. Good gravy and a proper amount of cheese to top it off.The problem I have? It cost me over $50 to feed my family (wife and 3 small kids) lunch without drinks! It would have come to about $65 with drinks...not worth it.
