Crystany's Brasserie - Canning

A hidden gem in a remote location. The food is excellent and there is no pretentiousness. It's also a fantastic choice for those with gluten allergies as the entire menu is gluten-free.

We give this visit 5 stars! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting us multiple times during our meal. The restaurant was very clean and the main floor near the door was very appealing. The food was delicious in taste, presentation, and portion size. Even though they were focusing on a Thanksgiving menu, we decided to try one of each meal they were offering: Fish and chips, burger and fries, and haddock chowder. Two thumbs up all around! Additionally, the drink selection was great, with open bottles being finished off for $5 glasses before Monday. I enjoyed the Lightfoot Tidal Bay wine and my partner had the Tatamagouche IPA, both at affordable prices. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back next time we're in town. We're so glad we stopped in today!

My parents gave us a gift certificate for this gluten-free restaurant near their home in the valley. We traveled from Halifax and will definitely do it again! Our hostess and chef were wonderful and very accommodating to allergies. With a day's notice, they were even able to prepare something to fit our dietary needs. The dining experience was amazing and we loved the cozy atmosphere and conversation. I wish there was a 6-star option!

I had a lovely time here with family members over Canada Day weekend. The restaurant is beautiful inside, there are two floors as well as outside seating on the deck upstairs. We started outside but it was a bit hot that day so we moved inside. Everybody was very nice and accommodating here. We started with drinks and also had our choice of cucumber water or still water. The cucumber water was delicious and a nice touch. We were having a light lunch so we went right into our meals, my wife and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and our parents ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips were delicious (and great value! and the pulled pork sandwiches were very good as well. The portions were spot on and the service was great, you wouldn't know that they just recently opened as everything seemed ironed out.

Excellent dining on Main Street Canning! Old storefront on the outside but inside 2 levels and upper outside deck, all modern and beautifully appointed. Service was quick and attentive. All areas of this place were impeccably clean. Food was superb. Had donair burger and fries. Beef was nice and spicy, fries just right. Also had a nice mushroom soup of the day. A flight of local beer samplings made for an excellent beverage choice. Would go back here anytime we're in this area again. Well done!
