St. Christopher's Hotel The Captain's Room

This restaurant is convenient for hotel guests, but the meals are only average. The menu is fine, the service is average, and the restaurant is clean. If you're looking for something average, then this place is okay. However, if you're searching for more, I would recommend exploring other options.

We had dinner here as a convenience after a busy day. I had a generous serving of piping hot seafood chowder with a lovely warm parker house style bun. Our server was unable to tell me what seafood was included in the chowder so allergy sufferers beware. As we were seated a very large group arrived and the staff seemed overwhelmed for the rest of our stay. I can understand this when it happens at the end of your shift at the end of the day, but it left me wishing we had explored elsewhere.

The food was cold, and a Monte Cristo is made with ham and grilled on a flat top with a egg batter. Will not be having breakfast here.

Great beds, great sleep, excellent dining room. A great place to stay before boarding the Ferry the following day.

I stayed at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant. The service was good and attentive. The menu was decent. The wait for our food was reasonable. The food was okay, but not outstanding.
