Never in Stone Jug before, I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know it existed. We sat and were offered something to drink within a minute. Waitress took our order and within no time the food hit the table, I had the blue cheese burger and I’ll give it a big thumbs up and I can honestly say I will be back for another one.
This is a wonderful building and great atmosphere here. A nice location and a view of the water. But sadly it stops there, the food was ok, the service was ok bit they are understaffed out of the kitchen. They did have a few gluten free options which is always nice to see, but not many vegetarian or any vegan options.
Beautiful historic building with great food. Nice experience.
This venue is perfect for any function. The building is beautiful and so unique and rich in history that you can feel when you walk in.
Of course the atmosphere is eclectic and absolutely warm and homely. I never ate in there ever before and I couldn't eat in there so I had a takeout order of fish and chips. The fish was huge which was great which was equivalent to two pieces of fish and it came to just under $27 with no tip because I wasn't eating there. The fish was delicious the gravy that I had on the side was fantastic and not salty like I expected and the tartar sauce was absolutely the best I've ever had homemade and delicious. However even viewing from the picture the amount of fries unfortunately wasn't there and the quality of the fries wasn't there either it seemed like it was the last batch at the bottom and I was not impressed with that whatsoever. I hope the next time if there is a next time they get this right or someone down there can review this and hopefully change my decision.
