Music/Singer tad exuberant (loud) food was good though I only had a Rack of Lamb could do with more gravy, though when asked it was brought to table quickly, no starter nor sweet/pudding. Though due to the ridiculous traffic restrictions in Wales We had to leave early to get there from here in Gloucester and similar left early to get home. Many thanks to Claire and Saffia for booking. Parking: Although I was parked in a disabled bay, 2 cars hit my car whilst reversing I was stood watching to see both drivers smiling and waving, no damage to my old banger but I'm sure the fat black Merc and white Audi had marks, shame. Fantastic live music in the background sat upstairs the food was very high end but good price for the quality of what you had. Went out for a birthday dinner. The place looks great in the day but by night it’s spectacular with lovely lighting in the garden. The old building has been tastefully restored but with a fun vibe. Everything works well. Front of house and waiting staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the proprietor pops out and greets guests by name. The tables are spaced properly apart so you can be private without feeling isolated. The menu is varied enough to offer plenty of choice but short enough to guarantee quality. We shared a fried Brie as a starter. We then had a beautiful hake, chicken wings and a vegetarian aubergine dish. All lovely. We couldn’t fit in a dessert. The accompanying Chardonnay was lovely and extremely well priced. A good choice of drinks both alcoholic and non. A very enjoyable evening without breaking the bank.
