Croutons - Carlsbad

I really enjoy visiting Croutons. It's conveniently located near my workplace and the food is always delicious. I also find that it's reasonably priced for healthy eating.

I picked up food from here for a lunch meeting, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is the first place I've been to where the salad was genuinely good! Typically, salads are just an afterthought next to the main meal, but not this time! The salad actually played an important role in the meal. Just to note, my praise is specifically for the Mediterranean salad.

The restaurant gets quite busy during lunch, so it's advisable to arrive early or place your order in advance. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is fantastic!

My task was to organize a take away luncheon of interesting salads for a group of 12. I sent a link the day before to get everyone's preferences and called Croutons Carlsbad just an hour before I wanted to pick up. Sean was a comforting voice on the phone and assured me that I could fax the entire order and it would be ready. Upon arriving, Lou was beyond helpful. She wrote each name on the specific item, checked her list at least twice that I could see and helped me to the car with the bags. And best of all acted like it was nothing special just part of the deal. The reception for the outstanding food was raves and delight!! It was such a pleasure to be the host and amazingly 12 lunches came to less than $100.00. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Croutons!

The salads are huge! Yes, they are busy but the wait is never more than 5 minutes--For a fresh healthy salad it is worth every bit of the price and wait!
