PAON Restaurant & Wine Bar - Carlsbad

I was not excited about being invited to Paon since years ago I had eaten at Le Paon in Palm Desert which was overly pretentious with extremely mediocre

This will be a very short review since we only stayed for drinks at the bar on a very warm evening.

I was not excited about being invited to Paon since years ago I had eaten at Le Paon in Palm Desert which was overly pretentious with extremely mediocre

This will be a very short review since we only stayed for drinks at the bar on a very warm evening.

The food and service were both excellent. The prices were very reasonable. The chimichurri chicken was excellent, the chicken cobb salad was excellent, as was the steelhead salmon over a bed of cold quinoa. The salt and pepper prawns were very aromatic.
