I got something off the menu that was supposed to have strawberry, mango, and raspberry...it only had mango, and when I questioned it I got an 'oh yeah our menu isn 't updated '...wish I was told that, I picked that item off the menu because I wanted all the different fruits.
I like vampire penguin a lot, but they are shady. Drove like 35 minutes from downtown because I have a loyalty card here. I know this happened before here, and they tend to not be consistent with the hours whatsoever. You really can 't update your hours to something like, we keep 'updating ' our hours, but there 's a good chance we will be closed when you 're trying to come here so call to make sure. They 've got a few locations and are quite popular, so not sure why they can 't keep their hours updated.
Arrived in town for business and wanted to surprise our daughter with a treat she'd never had. Came here as tried in downtown pre-pandemic and was good. This place did not disappoint! Though there was only one worker, she was fat, friendly, and efficient. She helped my wife with her select and prepared all three of our items fast and picture perfect.
Delicious amount for the money. Good variety of ice cream, smoothies, shaved ice and more!
Vampire Penguin isn't what it sounds like, or maybe it is, I don't really know. I don't get the name. But...what I do get...is elaborate, creative, and delicious shaved snow concoctions. Or you can create your own--pick your flavor, pick your toppings. When you first walk in, the menu can be a little confusing and a little daunting. And the place isn't super clean and a bit disorganized (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). But the staff is pretty friendly and the shaved snow is very good. I've tried the peanut butter cup (I think that's what it was called), the S'moreo, the Twix, and the sweet tooth. All have been fairly excellent. But I think I prefer to make my own. The shaved snow is super light and fluffy and it's a great snack/dessert. I haven't tried the boba tea here, YET, but I imagine it's pretty good too. I definitely will be trying when I get a chance.
