After eating here twice in three days, with two different groups of people, we can confirm that Bamboo is exalted not only for its location, but friendliness of service, quality of food and value for money. Our table last night was absolutely on the water;...I can't think of a better place in this area and my grilled fish was perfect. Dinner and drinks for 4 adults and 2 children came to 160 €. My only negative is that smoking is still allowed in French restaurants; an adjacent couple smoked during our meal, practically between mouthful and I admit to finding it deeply unpleasant, but not at the fault of Bamboo. A “must visit” when you are in the area.
We ate as a family and dinner was good. Moules was a bit overdue, but that seems to be Carqueiranne style as we had in other restaurants. The Risotto was extremely good.
Go for Le Bamboo on this beach! The other place Tintin) might look nicer, but Le Bamboo is the better choice by miles. Had a scrumptious Alioli €20), which is stated as starter but serves easy as maincourse. The Maigret the Canard au miel...was thick and juicy. The deserts Tarte Tatin and Souffle the Grand Marnier are to die for. And we ate with our feed in the sand. The only downside is that the sun sets on the wrong side here...
Le Bamboo This beach restaurant is at the far end of the Plage du Pradon at the end of a cul de sac, not as suggested on the map and also one of the visitor photos is of another restaurant by the port. We went...at the end of September on a weekday to have a quiet day on the beach and thought we'd have a snack lunch at this slightly unpromising-looking restaurant with few other customers. In the event we had a lovely view of the beach from the restaurant terrace and our salade du chevre chaud avec croutons et lardons was particularly good, as were the perfect frites. This place is only open April to September. Parking is likely to be all but impossible in high season and at weekends, but when we went it was easy as the beach was uncrowded.
