The Lumpia Shanghai was delightful, boasting the traditional Filipino flavors of ground pork, onions, carrots, and eggs in the filling. However, the Bistek Onion Rings were overly crunchy and hard, to the point of being brittle, although the diced skirt steak was flavorful, albeit in a small portion. The Sisig Quesadilla was tasty and not greasy, though it could benefit from a bit more cheese. Unfortunately, the Laing Pasta was the least flavorful dish. While the spaghetti was cooked well, it definitely needed more garlic, ginger, pork belly, parmigiano-reggiano, and tomatoes for added freshness. With only about ten items on the menu, I hope BaBoys will enhance the flavors in some of their dishes in the future.
I really enjoyed the sisig fries. However, I wasn't as fond of the lumpia burger, mainly due to the red vinegar sauce smeared on the bun. The presentation was good, though, as we tend to eat with our eyes first.
The restaurant is small, which can make it feel crowded, but don’t be deceived. The food is fantastic! It beautifully blends Filipino cuisine with touches of American and Spanish dishes. I was truly impressed. My friend couldn't believe how often I raved about the food. They offer a fusion of various culinary traditions while still maintaining a strong Filipino essence. I absolutely loved it! The flavor and quality you get for the price are incredible. Overall, it’s a great experience with tasty meals, generous portion sizes, and very affordable prices. Highly recommend!
Oh. My. Ghawd!!! This places is a hole in the wall at first sight and the menu is simple but what is on there will blow your mind once it is put in front of you and into your mouth. We got the sisig quesadilla, lumpia burger, sisig tater tots, tosilug burrito, and bistek fries. Absolutely amazing! It is all VERY filling and a great Mexican Filipino fusion of flavors and ingredients! At first I thought that we would just get a few lumpia stuffed into a burger but the patty was an actual flat folded lumpia with all the fixings! The sisig isn’t a part of the tater tots but a topping and once you pop that egg yolk it is game over you will need another life because you’ll die from food coma if you eat the entire huge portion!
OMG this place was good. I loved it and it was something i was craving the moment i sae the meal before the order. I ordered a talapia burger and the tater tots and i will say was goooooood . I must admit though i didn't think it would be. I also was recommended by the lady to get the melon juice
