Singleton Fish House - Carthage

Best place to eat in Carthage Mississippi. Great staff. Very attentive. Good food. Been coming here for about 3 years and it keeps getting better and better.

We arrived about 5:30 pm. We were greeted and seated. We went to the buffet. There was absolutely no fish or any other meat items on the bar. The waiteress which was the hostess and cashier said the cook was frying more and it would be out shortly. I said I would wait. My husband fixed his salad while waiting. The waitress served our tea. My husband ate his salad. The waitress said there was fish. My husband went back to the bar. They only had put some catfish nuggets out. He came back to the table disappointed and apologized for taking me to this restaurant as our first time going there to eat. Over an hour later still the only item added was french fries. After 1:30 an no other items addedI never touched my tea, due to no food on the bar, because drink after I eat. I went to the cashier to pay. I told the cashier I was paying for my husband because I didn't eat. She never apologized. She said $16.30. I paid and we left. We drove over 30 miles each way, because we were told they had good food. No, I would never recommend this restaurant.

Eat here every time I ride thru Carthage. This place keeps getting better and better with Ken as the owner/manager. Definitely motorcycle friendly. Definitely 2A friendly. Awesome veteran owned restaurant. Richard really knows how to prepare fish!!!!

Wow! Absolutely the best place for fish in the Carthage, MS area. Buffet was excellent. Order the Philly steak and cheese! Great staff. Live this place. Can't wait to go back.

Food on the buffet was cold. We sat there for an hour and nothing new was put out on the buffet. And our tea glasses were constantly empty. It's a great location. Wish service had been better.
