Scratch Kitchen Taproom - Cary

I discovered a hidden gem in Cary. I decided to try the Pork Belly Bites (after reading a positive review) and they were delicious. I also ordered the Blue Mac and Cheese, which was excellent. The ambiance was fantastic, not too noisy like other restaurants I have been to. It was a perfect setting for a pleasant meal with good company and conversation.

Parking can be a challenge, as the shared lot next to the restaurant may be full depending on the time of day. We had to park on the street down the road during weekday dinner hours. There are a few free lots nearby if you don't mind walking, and they are usually not full.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! It was like randomly picking a spot on a map and finding the perfect place to eat in town. The BLT was absolutely delicious and definitely the best choice.

Shrimp and grits was amazing. Different spin on flavor but it was very enjoyable. Nice atmosphere and good customer service.

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday. He loves this restaurant, especially the southern chicken salad but with grilled chicken instead of fried. My personal favorite is also a salad. The Harvest salad is by far the best salad I've ever had. It is always fresh and has so many delicious toppings and the dressing ties it all together nicely. I also get mine with grilled chicken because their grilled chicken is amazing. We love the pimento cheese wontons, too, the sauce that comes with them is delicious. Basically everything here is great but since the prices are a bit high we don't go super often.
