The Parkway Tavern - Cary

The food was phenomenal!! But the service was terrible, waited over 30 minutes for our food while it was slow and other tables already had food. Not sure if it's a short staffing issue in general but our server seemed to care more about being behind the bar and talking to other tables than putting our order in.

Didn't get the onion STRINGS WITH USUAL DIP- got THICK ONION RINGS WITH SPICY MUSTARD DIP INSTEAD! I ordered from there because I wanted the ONION STRINGS!

My husband and I went here to check it out . We enjoyed the environment. The chicken tenders he got le loved took most of them home. I ordered the French dip . When I received it the meat was completely burned and covered up with the cheese. The fries were over cooked and soggy. The bartender has the cook make another one. I ate the sandwich it still was overcooked but not as bad as the first Didn't touch the fries . Those were the same. Later that night I got food poisoning from it and spent the night throwing up. My husband finished his tenders this morning and all afternoon he has been throwing up.

Somehow this place serves the best burgers in the entire town! The bun is perfect, the patty is not too massive, and the sauce ratio is great. My only wish is for cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers to come onto the menu, rather than fried slices of japaleno. Either way I'll be back for the food!

This used to be my favorite bar when the drinks were strong and the nachos were loaded with toppings. Unfortunately, the quality has declined over the past few years. I still return, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Perhaps I keep coming back for the music, which is always a blast if you grew up in the 90s, and for the memories of what it once was.
