Grelhas - Cascais

Called in on the off chance for a late lunch. A cliff top table was available after a very brief wait. Staff were efficient and courteous and spoke very good English. Food was ordered after the customary bread, olives and Salmon pâté basket. (Tasty)! We both ordered salads that were well presented, tasty and plentiful. Followed by deserts with delicious Apple pie and ice cream. A lovely meal to end our stay in Portugal. Thank you.

Our guide recommended this restaurant for lunch while on a Sintra/Cascais tour. We were so glad he did because the food was outstanding, and the waterfront view was terrific. Our server Philipe recommended a shrimp appetizer which was outstanding. In addition, he noticed that my wife was trying to remove a chocolate stain from a sweater, and he thoughtfully brought over hot water without being asked. Overall this was a great dinning experience, and I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful view of sea and coast, lovely atmosphere. May need to book as gets very busy. Had the best Sangria!

That was eating as they would expect, but nothing from the ordinary. the staff was very attentive and friendly. the prices are high. an unusual thing was that, as we sit, they brought a small starter plate (with sink, cheese, brot, butter and olive) first the impression that it is free from the food they order later, but that was not the case, somehow felt like when they try to get it, eat it and then load it for them later. from my own experience in the gastronomy industry, they either serve a plate as part of the ordered feeds or they have only listed starters on their menu and people can choose themselves.

Food was good, mostly pay for the views and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and spend more time in this city.
