Zookeeper Bistro - Cashiers

My family rented this venue for my brother's rehearsal dinner the night before his wedding, and it was fantastic! The food was incredible! I personally had the salmon, and it was easily among the top three salmon dishes I've ever had. The light teriyaki glaze on it made it even more delicious, and the huge baked potato, with all the toppings available exactly how you like them, was the icing on the cake. I've never been here for a regular dinner, but I can't imagine the food being anything less than excellent. We had a special permit that allowed only beer and wine (plus my personal favorite, Sangria). Coming from NYC, I found that a bit unusual, but I understand it's due to local regulations.

I had a fantastic strawberry waffle with eggs, and my husband really enjoyed his hearty omelet. Unfortunately, we couldn’t sit outside due to the heavy rain, but we were seated about 6 meters apart indoors. The hostess was a bit unfriendly and made us wait 5 minutes even though there were plenty of empty tables available. On a positive note, the servers were very pleasant and attentive.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal. The waitstaff was outstanding, and the breakfast was affordable with excellent service. The prices were comparable to those at Bob Evans or Big Boy.
