Contribuisci feedbackTo be clear, we didn't eat at the Capricorn restaurant. We tried to, enquiring (a few days in advance) about booking a table for dinner on a Saturday, but were told -rudely- by the manager that the hotel and the restaurant were full. That fact, of course, we can understand : it's the way she handled our request (raising her voice and looking decidedly annoyed by our request) that surprised us the most. For the next 2 weeks (we were staying in Wergenstein), we took our business to another restaurant, in Mathon.
Very nice service. Very friendly! Gastronomic specialities served in special dishes. We enjoyed it really!
Of course the cheese plate was delicious, but it is Switzerland....my husband and I had a pork dish and a beef dish recommended by our server and both were some two of the best meals I've ever tasted! The meats were falling apart and the vegetables and scallop-like potatoes were also perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding even though the restaurant was full. They also have a nice wine list and small bar area. We will go back if in the area.
Small menu, but everything is fresh and very tasty, the best part is the gorgeous view from the terrasse.
Good balanced, freshly cooked set menu each evening and lunch time. Shame that coffee is not included.
