We need to try out their first brunch service and it was impeccable. At first we were very surprised to find a selection of mocktails available, and the two we tried were excellent. the menu is concise, but covers all the brunch needs with a Latin American flare. our schedule was to get everyone a hearty breakfast, then a few horchata french toast for dessert, but we don't have it that far! we shared the chilaquiles with rinderwange and steak and eiern. the thick chips stood perfectly on the mountain of the beats and the bark cheek is incredibly tender. the steak was boiled to a perfect medium, rare as it should be without asking for tempo preference and was quite big! it was supplemented with fingering kartoffels, well-kept wobbles and 2 eggs, which were cooked in advance. we are happy to go back and try the French toast, huevos rancheros, oaxacan breakfast hash and especially the eier benedicto!
We were in oculto many times and always loved their food, service and ambiente. However, there was a large private party the last couple times when we were there, and we waited quite so long for drinks (approximately 20 minutes,) to start eating (15-30 minutes,) and the main (40-45 minutes) to be served. I suppose eating will take much longer than usual if there is a big group this day.
Everything was delicious. we will definitely be back in the new year.
We always love the food. That day there was a large private party a sweet but I experienced waiter we felt forgotten several times. Had to request our main about 20 minutes after finishing our small plates. Had Togo to the desk to request dessert. Had to request check. We’ll still go back
