The dishes are copied (too much more) and can therefore miss a finesse, especially the sauces. impeccable service see a little quick so it seems important to have finished for the next service. the setting is pleasant and the warm welcome. prices are high: 25 euros to minima for dishes.
Our meals were average and nothing to write home about. We were somewhat disappointed considering the positive reviews we had seen online. The restaurant is conveniently located on Market Street and the service is satisfactory.
Clifden offers a variety of restaurants, but this one is a standout choice. The food is exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming with a mix of locals. The oysters were especially delicious.
We ordered two bowls of chowder and an open sandwich with prawns and organic smoked salmon on delicious brown bread. The soup was full of tasty fish and the sandwich came with a side salad of lettuce, pickled cucumber, and tomato. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, as Mitchel's never fails to impress with their high-quality food at affordable prices.
The staff at this restaurant are delightful and welcoming, however, the food was terrible and the menu left something to be desired. The seafood chowder was particularly disappointing, as it contained only a few pieces of salmon and lacked any substantial amount of seafood. This was a letdown for us, as we have been visiting Clifden for years and have always enjoyed exceptional meals. The prices are quite high, especially considering the poor quality and low standard of the food.
