Cafe Della Via - Cayucos

My wife had a wonderful experience last Friday at Cafe With Italian Flair. We were warmly welcomed by our server Emma and seated with our granddaughter and friend. The menu had a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Cucumber salad, which was beautifully presented and came in a generous portion. I chose the Chicken Marsala, which was also delicious and came in a very generous portion. The service and atmosphere were excellent, and I highly recommend Cafe Della Via if you are looking for high-quality dining at reasonable prices with great service.

My husband and I arrived in town late after driving up from San Diego. We decided to go to the nearest restaurant, which happened to be the busiest spot in town. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had to dine there. The restaurant was charming and cozy, with a bustling yet homey atmosphere typical of an Italian restaurant. We couldn't get a reservation until 8pm, but we didn't mind as we had a drink at the bar next door before returning. The bartender recommended the garlic bread as an appetizer, which we ordered when we were seated. It was crispy and delicious. My husband had the lasagna and I had the steak, both of which were incredible. My steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare and my husband devoured his lasagna. The service was excellent and made us feel right at home, as if we were locals. We will definitely return when we visit Cayucos again.

I would give the food 2 stars, but the service was very poor. We decided to order takeout and the older woman who took our order was quite rude. When we asked for an estimate on when our food would be ready, she couldn't provide one and made it seem like we were inconveniencing her by asking. Although we enjoy supporting local businesses, we unfortunately won't be returning to this one.

Food was delicious. I came in with a party of 8 and everyone loved their meal. Desserts were also fantastic, I would suggest the bread pudding Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and the food came out at a good pace. The atmosphere is also great, I would highly recommend if you are in Cayucos. Best food in town.

I must emphasize that this is the first 5 stars I have given a restaurant, so it is not given lightly. The restaurant itself is small and very cozy. The wait staff is attentive, personable and friendly. Dinning in such a small town is an amazing experience, it makes you feel like you know everyone. Now the dinner was impeccable! Me and my wife both ordered the chicken piccata and it was delicious. The capers and the lemon worked perfectly together and the chicken was perfect. I highly recommend making this your next date night! Truly delicious and fantastic experience!
