Food and drinks were absolutely delicious and amazing! The price is right for the great quality of food!!! My husband and I found the cedar park location and we have to say the quality is so similar to high quality restaurants in Japan! We are obsessed with this place
Wanna learn about saki (an area in which I 'm woefully ignorant ? Wanna have some excellent sushi? The same answer for both: Soto 's. Came to Austin to see family and the total solar eclipse, but after family Soto 's took the prize. (Sorry Austin, you may be a great place for other reasons but when cloudy you 're not a very good place to witness the TSE . Soto 's, however, is a great place to go for some expertly prepared sushi accompanied by an education about saki. Loved our server who was our saki sommelier. He let us taste three different selections, each with its own characteristics. One knocked it out of the park. Absolutely loved it. So sign me, David ASS (A Saki Sampler: M.
Came in for my birthday dinner! We got a reservation at 7:45pm and technically didn't need it since there were some tables open. Our waiter was Sean, and he was so accommodating. We told him that we had 2 hard of hearing people, and he did his best to make sure we could hear him. Had to ask him to repeat things a couple of times because there were some very loud people near us. He was very patient with us! Loved everything about Sean. He was very energetic to talk about the food and the different alcohol they have. If he didn't know, he asked the bartenders. I ended up asking about 2 different wines. He was able to get samples of them for me. Whoopee!! The food was great. I basically took a bite out of everything. My favorite was the hon maguro flight and the katsu. The pork was soooo juicy! We all loved our desserts. They were unique in their own ways.
Wow, in rereading our review from almost seven years ago, we kind of have to say that we nailed it. This place has not changed one bit--except now there is more paint chipped off the walls and their omakase has increased in price. We came here for one reason and one reason only: we have friends who live in Cedar Park who wanted to go. The decor is still tacky (the lighting by the bar looks like in belongs on the Vegas strip . They do carry one of our favorite beers (Nest white ale , so that is a plus, and the apps were decent. The green salad was a basic bae, but she was good to get some veggies in. The brussels were also good even if we'll never understand the use Japanese-goat cheese connection. So were the shishito peppers. We tried the mushroom risotto, and we do have to say that it was genuinely delicious. The mushroom flavor really sang, the texture was just right, and the truffle was not overwhelming. Well done. Our three tuna rolls, though, were just OK. Most were overloaded with stuff, which makes is even weirder that they all tasted flat-noted. The tempura one was probably the best. We got that weird matcha tiramisu again (the glass is still floating in the green-looking algae! and a chocolate cake that tasted like it was microwaved, which it probably was. The irony is that one of us recently went to the south Lamar location with some friends, and it is seriously better in every possible way. It's like a night and day experience. Maybe they put all their resources there? We hope that we won't be back again for seven more years.
