The standout aspect of our visit was the exceptional service provided by the wait staff, particularly Michael, who was outstanding. They also have a delightful selection of desserts. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-organized, and the aroma of homemade BBQ fills the air. Don’t miss the biscuits—they're a must-try! At the end of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised to receive clean, hot, wet towels for our hands, which was a very thoughtful touch.
This restaurant was bustling with people celebrating Father's Day with their dads. The wait time was nearly an hour, similar to all the other restaurants in the area. The food was excellent, and we had a fantastic time with family. Naturally, we ended up with a few boxes of leftovers! Parking can be challenging since there are many shops around during peak hours.
I have to say this: until they improve the dish, avoid the Shrimp and Grits. It's served in a deep dish with a small amount of grits that are completely overwhelmed by a sauce that resembles pink vodka sauce, rather than a proper roux or gravy, along with some peppers and other ingredients. While the shrimp are a nice size and plentiful, Lucille's needs to do more research when it comes to recreating classic dishes. I ended up returning it and was much happier with my two hot sausage links and a side of fried okra.
This meal was about 30 bucks and it was on sale… this place was extremely expensive but it’s extremely good. They really do make good barbecue here, the atmosphere really feels like homemade, and the staff is probably the most chill cool staff I’ve ever seen. They always have really great service and are so friendly. Overall, although it’s expensive, it’s definitely worth it.
The decor to this place is really nice, seemed like the benches were recently painted because it had caution tape around them. The wait was not very long so that was cool. The servers are very personable , attractive and attentive to your needs. They have thorough knowledge of the menu and have recommendations. It had been a while since visiting a Lucille's BBQ spot. We ordered nachos and spinach dip. They both came with chips obviously. The nachos were made with brisket. They can do a better job of placing ingredients over all the chips and not just towards the middle. The spinach dip seems like it just microwaved so I wasn't to impressed. My server recommended chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy. It was delicious. Also ordered Ribs with brisket. The brisket was delicious and the ribs could've been smoked longer so that meat would fall off the bone.
