El Taco Veloz - Chamblee

The restaurant had a dirty floor, table, and ceiling which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. The chicken soup and tacos were decent but overall, I don't see myself returning to this chain in the future. The wait for our food was also very lengthy.

I would have given this restaurant zero stars if I could. I went for the first time today with a colleague. As a vegetarian, I ordered the super nachos without meat. The super nachos are supposed to come with tomatoes, jalapenos, avocados, and onions for an extra $1. However, when I received my order, it only had scorched queso on the tortilla chips. The chips were stuck together and the queso had melted through the container. I went back to the restaurant to explain the mistake, but they just added raw onions, two slices of tomatoes, jalapenos, avocados, and sour cream to the same nachos and charged me extra. I was so upset that I paid and left, and I will be contacting corporate about this experience.

I acknowledge that this restaurant is well-liked and has been around for a long time. However, I have visited other Taco Veloz locations with superior customer service and more delicious tacos. This particular location was my first experience with the chain and it did make me feel at home. I wish them all the best and hope they can improve the taste of their meats. I don't think this location will disappear, but it could definitely use some enhancements.

I love Taco Veloz, but this one is the BEST one in Gwinnett. They always have the salsa bar available, and the consistency of service and steak is great! Don't let the outside appearance fool you, because it's literally in the heart of the community?. When I'm in Chamblee, and want a good tacos... this is where I go!!!

This restaurant is as authentic as it gets! The portions are huge and I dine here once a week. The staff is super friendly, there's a wide selection of dishes, and the place is always clean.
