This was the first place we stopped at once reaching Newfoundland and the last place we went prior to heading back to the mainland. An absolute little local gem. Food is incredible and reasonably priced. Alma's homemade bread and breakfasts are to die for! Thank you for everything!
Someone recommended Alma's, and it was good. This was the first restaurant meal in two weeks in Newfoundland where I actually had potatoes and carrots peeled and cooked, instead of frozen, or fried. The quantity was right, and quality was good!
Awesome food great prices food that will stick to your ribs comfort food just a nice mom and pop dining experience
Decided on Alma's based on its number 1 spot on tripadvisor. With nothing to compare it to in the area, it was OK. We wanted a meal before boarding the overnight ferry to Nova Scotia. The restaurant was not especially clean, the service was quick and friendly, the food was OK, the fish tasted good. If this is the number 1 restaurant, I'm glad we didn't try number 2!
