My wife ordered the chilled crab dip, which was fantastic very meaty and well seasoned. We both ordered the petite filet. The steak itself was extremely disappointing. It was poorly seasoned and neither of our steaks were cooked to the correct temperature. We ordered chocolate cheesecake and the orange and caramel brownie for dessert. Both desserts were truly excellent. I just can’t shake the fact that we went to a STEAKHOUSE and the steaks were the worst part of the meal. Service was great and the ambiance is very nice. However, the bills was $175 after tax and tip during Queens Feast. The bill would’ve been well over $100 per person had it not been restaurant week, which is typical for a high end steakhouse. However, you can pay a similar price at the Capital Grille (uptown) or Del Frisco’s Double Eagle (right around the corner) and get a much better steak! TL:DR Oak Steakhouse is a great restaurant, as long as you don’t order steak. Parking: Plenty of spots in the garage attached to Oak. Wheelchair accessibility: It’s on the first floor. Wide aisles between tables.
The quality of the food came up short for the prices charged. Understaffed and slow to boot. Disappointing is being generous.
I visited Oak Steakhouse twice in about two months. Each time I visited, the service and food was excellent. They play really good music and the manager Ken is awesome and you can tell that he really cares about the customers that come in to dine at his restaurant and making sure that they always have an enjoyable experience. In my opinion, Oak Steakhouse is way better than Steak 48! My new favorite restaurant in Charlotte!
Went for our anniversary. Top notch attentive service and delicious food. The staff gave us a gift (travel foodie book) and free appetizer of Pork belly. It was delicious! Thank you Oak steakhouse for making our night special.
This has been on my list of steakhouses to try and when we saw their restaurant week menu, it seemed like a great opportunity. We were seated in an intimate curved booth and ordered cocktails. My dirty martini was one of the best I've had in a while! The apps were small portions for this but that's what we expected. Everything was delicious and the steaks were done to perfection. Our server Addie was so nice and kept tabs on us without intruding. It was a quiet, adult evening. Everyone was wonderful including Robert the host who loaned us an umbrella to run thru the downpour to the parking garage. I'll happily be back for a regular dinner one of these days.
