Brandwein's Bagels - Chapel Hill

10/10!! gem in chapel hill. the salt bagels are top tier. you don’t need to go anywhere else. all you need is at brandwein’s. they are my emotional support bagels.

Enjoyed an everything bagel with fixings on both sides! Didn't match my extensive memory of NYC bagels, but it was still a good bagel. They also have deli sandwiches. Nice neighborhood corner deli/bagelry.

Today I realized I ordered something that I really didn't want. It was my mistake. But the owner, Alex, kindly and patiently listened and quickly gave me what I'd meant to order and insured my breakfast experience is white I'd hoped for.The only other place I eat bagels besides Brandwein's is at Bagelsmith in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY), because Alex is doing it right.Thank you for the best bagels in the Triangle ?

The bagels are good, the bialys are great, but it seems like the toaster doesn't work maybe? Even when I put double toasted the bagel barely seems toasted. I've ordered a lot. Please toast better ?

Yum. Some of the better bagels I’ve had outside of the Northeast. Brought a half dozen home with me to AshevilleSome have said too expensive but I feel it’s worth it. Plus the staff is super friendly
