Server was amazing was very good at accommodating us and they were practicing all the requirements for COVID-19.
I have been coming to Tidewater Grill for over 30 years, and have always found the food and service to be superb. This visit was no exception in this regard, however, it started out with an issue I want to bring up. My wife has extreme asthma and can not wear a face covering over her nose and/or mouth. My party of 6 was to be denied entry unless she would wear such a face covering. She finally used her rescue inhaler and hurried to the table where the mask was immediately removed and after a few minutes her breathing returned to normal. We were told that the face covering was required by the Governor’s mandate, and by restaurant policy. This is in error. Please bring your restaurant policy in line with the Governor’s mandate, which follows CDC recommendations that include an exemption for anyone who has trouble breathing, and a few other conditions. We will not dine here again under the conditions we were met with on this visit.
Dinner was 2 plus hours. Food was just so so. I’ve eaten at Tidewater for years and their food as continuously gone downhill , it was once my favorite. The bread is still great if theY cook it long enough. Was really disappointed and won’t be returning .
Great evening out, Oysters on the half shell, hot bread, good Caesar Salad, Chilean Sea Bass (grilled) and on Point! Our man Will provided EXCELLENT Service, so nice to get out and extra nice to leave Tidewater with a big satisfied smile! We’ll be going back.
