They offer standard Americanized Mexican dishes—nothing too adventurous, but everything is always served quickly and with a friendly smile. After 16 years of dining here, I’ve never had a bad meal. The shredded chicken used in the tacos and other dishes is particularly delicious, and the margaritas are fantastic. Being owner-operated really sets this place apart from the competition.

I recommend everything you can eat cafeteria style buffet. It shimmers on the steam table from about 11:30 3:00 Monday to Saturday. What can I say, but I'm a Charleston Hall and I love my shrimps! Another new dish they have is a Pollo Poblano, which is really one of the best meals on the menu! It comes out to you sizzling fajita style with onions, peppers and homemade cheese just over the sides of the skill. Or maybe because they like us there The Tacos and Tamales are world class at the top of their class. James and I are sometimes pampered to share a deception as an appetizer. Try it with the Habanero Salsa, Tomatillo sauce and fresh guacamole. And yes... I have many years in the South Bay and San Diego area of California... (as well as many weekend trips to Baja, Mexico). This is the best MEXICAN RESTAURANT in CHARLESTON!!! I like everything I eat here! Good food and great prices! You have a lunch buffet that is amazing! If you like Mexican food, you have to eat at El Dorado!!!

Made me miss California. Very good authentic Mexican food! Fresh cilantro, tomatoes and onions so yummy on the everything! Try the verde pork it is great. Moved here from California and have finally found a Mexican hole in the wall I will defiantly be returning to enjoy the food.
