Muse Restaurant Wine Bar - Charleston

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a date, and it was an incredible experience paired with fantastic food! The prices were reasonable for such a lovely dinner outing. A big thank you to Donny for the excellent food selections you prepared for us, and thanks to Katie as well! The ambiance was delightful, and we loved that the restaurant is located inside a beautiful, historic Charleston home on Society Street. We enjoyed a delicious whipped feta with spinach and veggie flakes as an appetizer, followed by grilled duck breast and bolognese.

If I had to choose a fantastic restaurant that offers a wonderful atmosphere, an intimate bar with an impressive selection of bourbon and wine, as well as charm and exceptional food and service, it would be Muse. This is truly a dining experience rather than just a meal. The menu features intriguing dishes such as succulent fish, fresh pasta, eggplant, meats, duck, heirloom tomatoes with burrata, and risotto, all of which have a unique flair and are sourced locally, as Donnie clearly understands how to satisfy customers. The staff is attentive and well-trained, making the experience even more enjoyable.

My friend and I recently visited Charleston and had an amazing experience at Muse! We had a 9:15 reservation, which was among the last of the evening, but we never felt rushed at all. Our server, Hailey, was incredibly friendly and truly knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations for both food and wine. Everything we tried was delicious! The ambiance was fantastic, and the old house that houses the restaurant added a lovely charm to the experience. I would highly recommend it – a solid 10/10!

While on our evening walk earlier this week we happened upon a cute little restaurant off of King Street. Peering through the window for a better look, we spotted a small room with a semi-circular bar that was surrounded by baroque artwork. We decided we needed to eventually check this place out, and when doing so we would sit at that bar! So, we paid them a visit. Before doing so, I called ahead and spoke with the general manager who could not have been nicer. I explained

Wonderful. Donny was great.Food was absolutely delicious. Reason for 4 not 5 is party of 9 very loud blokes in our small room (restaurant is in an old house) were obnoxious, like they owned the place, especially 2 males who were totally loud. Would recommend though.
