The peanuts and spicy sauce made it feel a little extra. I also got a cold brew and it was delicious. My husband didn’t like his dish as much. He said it was a little bland and the salad that came with it was dry. Overall I loved the atmosphere and it was a good place to stop on our way out.
Lovely staff, adorable space, and the food/coffee were fantastic
This is one of the best cafes i have been to in charleston! We got there right when it opened and everything was made fresh! I loved all the bakery options, from your basic chocolate chip cookie to treats with all sorts of different things in it! The coffee was also really great and so was the breakfast sandwich i had. If it wouldn’t have had the sauce that was on it, it would’ve been bad. But that sauce, oh my god it was glorious ? I can’t wait to come back and try all of the other different bakery items and things on the menu!
Choclava is the best. So many vegan options for pastries and baked goods.
Some of the best avocado toast and coffee I’ve ever had!! I’ve been to many locally owned coffee places and I found that they tend to be overpriced/have watered down coffee but I was pleasantly surprised when my friend and I visited the harbinger cafe!! The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. It was only $15 for both the avocado toast and the large coffee with even extra syrups and shots of espresso and the avocado toast fed both my friend and I! I also love that the milk is locally sourced and the syrups are house made. I wish I had bought a bag of the coffee beans to bring home with me. Employees were super friendly too and service was fast. The interior was super cozy and clean. Will definitely return once I go downtown again!
