Akahana Asian Bistro - Charlotte

I expected exceptional sushi given the prices. A California roll costing over $7 (specifically $13.95!) should be outstanding. While I understand they currently have a buy one, get one free promotion, I'm concerned about the quality once that ends. The sushi was just average; the fish was fresh but lacked flavor. The wasabi was grainy, tasted bland, and wasn't very spicy. I won't be returning.

The food was enjoyable, and the service was excellent. The restaurant could use a bit of renovation to enhance its atmosphere. I would definitely consider returning.

Always a fine dining experience. Great food as always and would recommend to any looking for a great Asian fusion meal!
