Halfpenny’s Cafe - Charlotte

My eggs always have the bottom bread wet. Everytime. I have to damp the egg with a napkin before it ruins my biscuit or croissant.

Working in Wells Fargo Two, this was my first visit to Halfpenny's.Although conveniently located, I wasn't as impressed as others.Yes, the staff was so nice, but the sandwich was pretty basic and the soda machine only offers three sodas, all caffeinated.I ordered a Smoked Turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, lettuce onions, a cup of chicken noodle soup and a drink.Again, sandwich was basic, soup tasted out of a can, and I had to select water after paying for a drink since they didn't offer a non caffeinated soda, Sprite, etc.

Really friendly staff when I went. I had a very tasty chicken salad sandwich and they have a good selection of chips and drinks to choose from.

Delicious food and they Serve breakfast all-day. Awesome local place.Only con is like most things in Uptown they close early. I wish they were open longer!
