Oak Steakhouse Charlotte

We have oak steakhouse for charlotte queens fixed, restaurantweek. the menu options were great and there would be a good taste of this restaurant. the food was average. I will review this with the fact that the service was great. the waiter was very knowledgeable and his service was above average. started with a “wedge” salad and the oyster starter. the oysters were good. the keilsalat was a few leaves of the hydroponic butter salat leaves....not a wedgesalat as advertised. it was tasty, but not expected and should be called a simple ole’ salate. we both ordered the CAB file. a medium it was a tad over boiled and bland. Maybe it's her thing not to use salt, pfeffer, as she offered sauce on the side, but I don't like dipping my steak in sauce for taste. I did this with a pfeffer sauce that helped. I didn't send it back because I was hungry and they had to start with a new steak because this was medium, vs. medium with a pink center. the other steak was ordered in a rare way and rarely came out. she gave it back and it came back over boiled. the manager has compiled the steak share of the meal, which was the right one. he also offered to bring out a new steak, but at that time we were not eating together like I was done with my meal. dessert was good, standard chocolate sun and a very rich chocolate mouse, erdnussbutter dessert called oak bar. the oak bar was the winner of the two. because of this experience we would not come back and pay their regular menu prices. it was simply not good enough for the price point and the steak was bland for a restaurant that calls itself a steakhouse.

Waiter was great! Our first time at Oak Steakhouse, my steak was not hot and the collard greens were not cooked well.

Super slow service. Mac and cheese was lukewarm. Restaurant was cold. Steaks were overpriced and chewy. Waiter was absolutely wonderful, though!

They went above and beyond as far as service tonight. They offered a champagne toast when they realized I was celebrating something and the manager came over for some conversation. We love Oak!

Everything above all the lobster was delicious. the edible butter cake has to be defined.
