Saffron Renovation - Charlotte

The restaurant was comfortable, tidy, and had excellent service. As someone who has had a lot of Indian cuisine, I was eager to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the food was very bland. We ordered the Tikka chicken and Pandori chicken, but they lacked any seasoning. It was a letdown. One person in our group tried the lamb biryani and mentioned that it had flavor. However, as a non-red meat eater, I couldn't try it. Overall, the Indian food here was not up to the standards I am used to back home in NYC.

The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty, and the service from the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. It is the only Indian restaurant in Charlotte that I will visit, and I will be sure to recommend it to all of my friends and family.

We always enjoy dining at this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and the service is fantastic. We ordered lamb vindaloo and another lamb dish with a creamy cashew base, which was also very tasty. Highly recommended!

As my wife and I entered the restaurant we saw a sign that they are short staffed so please be patient. Ok. The weather was glorious outside but no one was eating outside. We asked if we could sit outside and at first he said no because they were short staffed, but then quickly said that we could if we understood that the service might be a bit slower. No problem we said. Well the service was just fine and not slow at all. The food was really really good too! Great place and we will return whenever we can.

Food tasted amazing and they give you a pretty decent portion based on the price. Was a little disappointed that we could not change out our naan when we were not the biggest fan of it. We were basically told no but it is understandable as to why. Normally a restaurant will allow you to switch out food items or take it off of the bill but that was not an option here. Other than that, the food was delicious and definitely will come back at some point.
