We were a party of six, arrived in time, and they proceeded to seat us at a table set for five. They then pulled a chair over and seated one of my friends at the end of the table, directly in front of the kitchen door. We asked to please be moved to another table, and it became a production. The manager told us they’d move us downstairs to another table in ‘just a few minutes’. We were offered water, and then the staff essentially ghosted us. After nearly 45 minutes of waiting, we were not asked if we wanted drinks or anything. I wonder if they realized we left. Went across the street to Via Roma and had an amazing dinner and excellent service. I would never recommend Sensi to anyone after this experience.
Our appetizers were good but my entree a ragout pasta was very chewy. Not al dente, but undercooked. The panna cotta desert was not creamy as it should be but had too much gelatin. Our waiter was a very nice young man but insufficiently trained in pouring wine. As in he was about to skip the taste and go straight to pouring. My husband had to stop him.
Apps, desserts and wine selection was good. Main courses were not. Pasta with heavy olive taste was not edible, another pasta stuffed with meat was edible but not great, gnocchi was not bad, braised beef was pretty good. Service was very good, ambiance is nice, bar is cool. Will limit to drinks and apps at bar until they improve their food.
Terrific meal. Very creative food and presentations. Efficient and knowledgeable service.
My 3 year old son had an allergic reaction to the appetizer and all they did was ask us to take him to the restroom so we do not disturb the other guest. I thought the waitress was very rude and inconsiderate since I was the only one sitting there with a 4 year old and a barely 3 year old whole my husband went to get medicine. Don't get sick there they might ask to go die in the restroom.
