Yamazaru Sushi Sake - Charlotte

I visited this restaurant, and the location was convenient. I would give the service a perfect score of 10/10. While the appetizers were just okay, the Japanese black cod was quite good. However, the other dishes were disappointing. The teriyaki was overly Americanized and too salty; if someone told you it was from Chick-fil-A, you might believe it. The grilled squid was overcooked and chewy. Overall, I would rate it a 7/10 compared to other Japanese places in Charlotte. For dessert, the fried ice cream was very doughy on the inside. Overall, it's much better than Cowfish Sushi, by a long shot.

The chicken salad packs and sushi were delicious! However, we weren't fond of the roasted rice, as it was a bit too sweet for our taste. The waiting staff was very friendly and welcoming, but the timing of the food service wasn't ideal; I had to wait 10 minutes to eat my dish while the other meals arrived later.

I’ve been to this place countless times and have never actually dined in the restaurant, but I can confidently say it has the best sushi in Charlotte. I believe it’s even better to enjoy it at home. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the menu offers a great variety. This will always be my top choice for sushi!

Good sushi at a good price, parking in front of location, which is a rare gem on this side of the city. service was moderate. had to ask more than once for water-pitcher refills, and we actually wanted to order a roll to share, but our server brought us the leak (without asking us about it) so we were like oh...ok then. Guess we're done. our friends ordered drinks and liked them. it's quite far away for us, but if I were more on the side of the city, I would definitely return. so many delicious rolling on the menu!

Only thing that kept it from 5 stay is the service was fairly slow. We sat outside and it took them a little while to come take our drink order. Then a while longer to take our order. But.. The food was awesome though. Delicious sushi!
