Unfortunately, it ended up being a chicken mayonnaise sandwich, so we had to send it back. The staff were understanding and asked for our new choice, so we ordered a cheese toastie. However, we had to follow up on that order, and it arrived only after the rest of us had nearly finished our meals. Additionally, there was no visible or flavorful bacon in the sandwich. While the staff were friendly, we probably won’t be returning anytime soon.
I usually only give a maximum of 4 stars because I believe perfection is impossible to achieve. However, tonight the staff at Copa truly surpassed my expectations. The food, specifically the bacon cheeseburger, was fantastic—though I would have preferred the coleslaw served separately from the burger. The drinks were also reasonably priced, but it was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff that earned them a full 5 stars. Great job, everyone! I will definitely be returning.
The beer selection is great, and the prices are reasonable. However, I found the bar snacks, specifically the nuts, to be overpriced—£3 for a small container seemed a bit steep. When I asked if the container could be filled to the top, I was informed that was the standard portion, which was disappointing. I might consider returning the next time I'm in Cheltenham, but it's not my top choice given this experience. There are other pubs that offer similar options with better value.
This is probably my favorite budget-friendly pub in Cheltenham. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. The food is reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are generous. They consistently show the Six Nations matches, and the atmosphere is vibrant with nice people.
This restaurant offers a great selection of beers and a diverse menu with plenty of options for various dietary needs clearly marked. The menu encourages guests to ask questions if they have any concerns. Initially, I was surprised by the prices, particularly the £8 toastie, which felt a bit high. However, it turned out to be quite substantial and was served with a nice salad garnish. I really enjoyed my non-meat burger, and my wife was pleased with her salad. The staff were polite, friendly, and efficient, and our food arrived quickly, fresh, and piping hot. The table was cleaned both before and after our meal, which was appreciated. One downside is that the men's toilets are located up a narrow flight of stairs. I didn't notice a disabled toilet, but I didn't specifically look for one. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
