Waghorne's Butchers - Cheltenham

Whenever we have a special occasion and want a high-quality cut of meat, I always choose Waghornes. The meat is consistently excellent, well-aged, super tender, and bursting with flavor. The staff at the shop are passionate about their meat and are happy to provide information about unique cuts or suggest different cooking methods. I have tried all the butcher shops in the area, from Cheltenham to Northleach, but Waghornes is the top choice for me. While the prices may be slightly higher, the superior quality is worth it. I am looking forward to enjoying a roast sirloin from Waghornes tonight.

The butchers at Waghorne's prefer to use local meat that has been raised in the old-fashioned grass-fed way without the use of intensive farming and lots of chemicals. You can tell the difference in the texture and quality of the meat whether you are buying a pack of sausages for a quick weekday supper or one of their beautifully butchered and tied joints for a special Sunday roast. As well as all the usual cuts of meat that you would expect from a first class butcher, there is also some exotic meat like venison, for example. You never know what might be there so I can recommend that you go along and have a look for your self

Really lovely home produced sausages, and the bacon is excellent. I also like the deli and cheese section, good variety and always tastes good. Friendly, helpful service

Fantastic butchers. We have lived in Cheltenham for years and found Waghorne’s during lockdown. Their delivery service Is fantastic. Shoulder of Lamb on the Big Green BBQ was fanatic and tonight we had rib eye steak which was the best we have ever had! Not the cheapest but really good value for the quality of meat.

We found Waghorne's after moving to Prestbury 5 weeks ago. We have ordered from them every week since. As part of the new normal we order online and collect. Absolutely faultless.
