Bicester Bakery - Cherwell

Been here on several occasions. The baked items are very good. Unfortunately I was looking for scones and cream and they didn't serve them.

You get a freshly made cuppa, with a card to collect for a free one. Cakes are fresh from own bakery and very good. A fair menu of snacks is available and the staff in the cafe are very friendly.

Nice selection of decorated small cakes for children. Also Lardy cake is good. Worth popping in for a cake or sausage roll.

We stop occasionally for sausage rolls and the like to takeaway. It provides a means to an end when you're hungry but offers nothing special. The little cafe at the back is similar, standard food, quick and effective, nothing more nothing less.

We were not impressed with the selection of cakes. There seemed to be too many decorated biscuits (may be due to Christmas). The caramel slice was good, the Belgian bun just average (fairly dry) and the flapjack was very small compared with others we have had elsewhere. Staff were friendly.
