Downtown Deli - Chesapeake

Jason's deli on EDEN WAY in GREENBRIER is amazing. I live nearby, so I am much more there, then I should probably be. But they're great. The ordering process is simple. You're making SOCIAL COUNTRY! That's great too. Every time I've been there, I've never seen one of the workers without gloves or masks. Very recommended! You have something for everyone, even VEGAN options. There is a children's menu. An amazing salad bad (due to COVID choose the items and they make it). They even offer a free drink with MILITARY ID. I also order online from here and my food is always ready within 10 minutes. Soup, salads, amazing sandwich options and even some choices for your sweet tooth.

Jason's Deli is a solid choice if you're in search of a large salad bar. I only tried a few of their main dish options, but I had the chicken Alfredo today, and it was quite tasty. While it's not the best chicken Alfredo I've ever eaten, it's certainly not the worst either—it was satisfying and flavorful. My daughter ordered the Mac and cheese from the kids' menu, but it didn’t look particularly impressive; it resembled something straight out of a boxed macaroni and cheese. However, it was still decent. My wife chose the salad bar and thoroughly enjoyed it! Plus, the complimentary ice cream for salad bar diners is a nice bonus and a great incentive to opt for the salad.

I can only speak for the Chesapeake, VA location. Our cashier, Elyse, was extremely helpful. We wanted to find some vegetarian options for my daughter, and she informed us that they could make most dishes vegetarian. We ended up ordering the chicken Alfredo without the chicken, and my daughter loved it. I also discovered my new favorite dish, The Carmela. Every time we order from here, the experience just gets better and better.

What a fantastic spot for lunch! The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. For less than $7, you can enjoy the delicious cooking salad with its incredible ranch dressing. It not only tastes great, but it’s also much healthier and costs less than most fast food options.
