Lonesome Rose - Chicago

I would easily rank this restaurant as the WORST RESTAURANT in Andersonville. Their tacos (al pastor) are awful! I genuinely think they spent so much money on decor and making the restaurant look aesthetic that they can't afford good quality ingredients. Also, the bag was DRENCHED in oil, so I thought something spilled in the bag.Their packaging for food items are super cheap. I hope this place closes down, so a better restaurant can take over.

Came here for an early dinner. I got the veggie burrito and my husband had the fried chicken taco. We enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

One time I attended an event here, I witnessed a young man crack his head open which immediately called for a request of an ambulance. Very unsettling atmosphere for all attendees that night. It was during the set of the California based band Ceremony. This night was at least 3 years before the building transformed into Lonesome Rose, at that point is went by the name of Ronnie’s, a fine hole in the wall punk venue. These days I prefer to order the truck stop nachos and breakfast burrito. Nice spot for brunch.

The food was delicious! Very flavorful. I dressed everything up with the salsas and limes provided. The only thing I didn't like was the guacamole. The chips that came with it were well-salted and warm. But the guacamole was bland to me. The barbacoa tacowas the star of the plate. Juicy and flavorful. Thw fried chickrn taco was also really delicious and a refreshing twist on achicken option. The al pastor taco was also skimpier compared to the others, and too sweet for my taste, but I was still full bythe time I left. The frozen margarita was nice and strong, don't go to crazy on the drinks. I didn't feel super attended to butit was a busy Friday night so I'm not holding it too hard against the night. I will definitely be returning. The restaurantlooked beautiful, on a less crowded night I would love to look around more.

It's very cute. The aesthetic of the place is clean, chill, and relaxing vibe. It's got beautiful plants. We wanted a roof seating but too bad it was packed so we opted for bar seating to relax. The truck stop nachos comes with beans, questo, onions,jalapeños, banana peppers, tomatoes and a protein. We chose Picadillo beef which is one grounded beef perfect for nachos thoughI don't think we be upset if we got the barbacoa either. The margarita was good size and strong as well. Overall a greatrestaurant and happy we stumbled upon this.
