Aba - Chicago

As expected, Aba was beautiful with an indoor-outdoor lay out that is perfect for summer. To eat, we had the Smoky Garlic Hummus, Whipped Feta, Green Falafel, and Brussels Sprouts, all of which were tasty and perfect for sharing. To drink, we had the One for the Road mocktail. Our waitress was wonderful and apologetic, however, overall service was slow. 15 minutes after the time of our reservation there were still no tables for us and the hostess said there was no telling when we’d get one. We ended up sitting on a couch, which was fine, but we were confused what the point of the reservation was to begin with. Overall, the ambiance is amazing and the food is good, but the service was so-so.

We visited as it was on our list for a long time as the reviews are really great. The ambience was great. Service was really good.But we didn't find the food to be great. The Grilled Chicken Kebab plate felt like it lacked flavors. The Kebabs were hard, chewy and dry. The Chicken Kefta plates also felt like the same.I think it was not our day. I don't believe what we tasted today is what the restaurant offers else there won't be such good reviews. Unfortunately, my reviews are based on what I experienced today.

Considering it took us 3 weeks to get a reservation, I found it to be very overrated. We had a nice table that gave us an amazing view of the Willis tower. We ordered the whipped feta with naan, brussel sprouts, crispy potatoes, halibut, and lamb chops. Everything except the lamb chops were good. I personally didn't think it was a place that requires anyone to wait 3 weeks for, and there are many other restaurants in Chicago where you can find more authentic tasting food with nice ambiance...just my opinion :

We had a wonderful experience at Aba celebrating my daughter’s Birthday! The food was very flavorful, the drinks were perfect, the service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful! Definitely worth coming back to! I highly recommend the lamb chops, everyone loved them!

Beautiful Mediterranean decor with a huge rooftop patio. The rooftop patio has really comfy sofas. The service was very attentive. Most importantly: The food was remarkable. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing: the classic hummus, the whipped feta, the green falafel, the brussels sprouts, and the lamb/beef kefta. Everything was 10/10 in terms of quality, flavor, texture, moisture, and presentation. Would definitely come back and reorder everything we got.
