While the char on the steak was good, I found it disappointing that I needed to use steak sauce on such an expensive cut of meat. The sides of potatoes were fine but bland, and the broccolini was overcooked and still hard. The Berry Blast cocktail lacked muddled blueberries and tasted overwhelmingly of vodka. For lunch, I had the fish and chips for $25. The skin-on Northern pike was a bit unusual but crispy and enjoyable. The batter was not traditional but still tasty, although I felt it was overpriced. For dinner again, I ordered a $35 half-pound brisket. The BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup with a hint of Worcestershire sauce, and the brisket was greasy and had too much fat. The excessive fat was not properly trimmed before cooking, resulting in a mouthfeel that was too oily. The BBQ sauce did little to cut through the fat, leaving a displeasing experience. Overall, I would rate this restaurant with 4 stars for its recreational prices but only 1 star for its dining experience. The chef should be disappointed in the quality of the meals served. I suggest looking elsewhere for a better dining option.
I ordered the birria beef tacos and was extremely disappointed. The menu advertised two types of cheese and pico de gallo, but the tacos came with neither. Instead, they were drenched in a oily "broth" that made the brisket on the tacos incredibly greasy. It was so oily that it pooled on the plate, making it difficult to eat without the tacos falling into the residue. I showed the manager and he agreed that the meal was not up to standard. My advice is to avoid ordering the tacos. On the bright side, the chicken gumbo was delicious. Stick to that instead of the tacos.
The Hyatt Regency offers a pleasantly tasty dining experience with excellent service and a casual atmosphere.
We ordered two different burgers, but the server got my order wrong and did nothing to fix it. would not recommend.
I didn’t feel like leaving the hotel so I ended up here. Had a few really cold beers and got wings to go. The wings were great, saucy, and crispy and not terribly priced.Very limited menu when I was there, did not have many options.I didn’t return after the first visit there are so many better options. But in hotel, it was good. The bartender wasn’t the most fun guy on the planet, but did he job very well.
