Cairo Kebab - Chicago

The food is excellent, with generous portions. I ordered two entrees, a large jerk salad, and a side of falafel. It was more than enough to feed 4-5 people, even though I ordered for just two! I was also informed it would take 20 minutes for my order to be ready, but when I arrived in just 10 minutes, it was already done. Five stars!

I asked the owner, Mohamad, for recommendations on where to find some Middle Eastern sweets in the area. He courteously helped me find a spot but warned me that it was getting late and the shop would likely be closed by the time I arrived. Going above and beyond, he offered us a substantial pack of assorted Middle Eastern sweets from the restaurant, refusing any payment. Despite my insistence, he remained incredibly generous. I have deep respect for this establishment and its staff; it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I will definitely return whenever I’m in the area, and I highly recommend it to others. Thank you, Mohamad, and the team for such a wonderful experience!

Delicious! Great value for the price. I ordered the chicken kebab sandwich along with a small cucumber salad, which was the perfect topping for the wraps my friend and I got. The ambiance was nothing special—fine for a fast-casual atmosphere or a lunch outing!

Good Arabic food at reasonable prices. I'll definitely come again. I was so glad there was an Arabic place so close to an event I was at and open so late too.The atomsphere was great, nice soothing classical Arabic music was playing. Reminded me of my childhood. They were very accommodating and friendly, I got my food to go. They offered me utensils/napkins but as I was going straight home to eat I didn't need them. The maamoul cookies on the counter were so cute. And the design of the restaurant inside was interesting.As I am Syrian, I'm not used to the Egyptian style of stuffed grape leaves, but it was an interesting experience. The lamb was seasoned very well, you can taste the smokiness of the fire in it.

Best Egyptian food! Remind me of all the good food in Egypt Highly recommend it.
